What is the role?
The Senior Finance Manager will report directly to the CFO and advise executive leadership on critical financial decisions. They will be a pivotal part of the Finance team and will have the opportunity to support and grow professionally as the company scales.  The role will collaborate with business partners to drive strategic projects and long-range planning, forecast operating costs, and support financial review meetings and other ad hoc projects.
The ideal candidate is someone who can balance developing a deep knowledge of the business’ key drivers and can operate at a higher altitude while communicating the story of our financial results and outlook. This role suits candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, solid report-writing abilities, an aptitude for analyzing and visualizing data, and excellent business acumen.
The successful candidate may choose to work in our Los Gatos, CA or Beverly, MA offices, otherwise this role is also eligible for remote work.

What you will do

    • Planning
    • Own the company’s strategic business plans
    • Own corporate forecasting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflows, Revenue Planning) and manage the budgeting process
    • Transaction support
    • Support fundraising. Point of contact for all financial due diligence
    • Conduct and model a broad range of corporate finance situations and due diligence for potential transactions
    • Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of valuation, comparable & relative valuation analysis, and market-specific analysis
    • Analysis
    • Own P&L analysis to drive actionable insights
    • Drive the company’s pricing models in partnership with Sales and Product
    • Conduct and model a broad range of corporate finance situations and due diligence for potential transactions
    • Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of valuation, comparable & relative valuation analysis, and market-specific analysis
    • Reporting
    • Own End-to-End reporting packet for management discussions and BOD meetings. 
    • Support analysis and presentations on historical financial and operational results for senior management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
    • Prepare financial presentation materials used for Board meetings. Some of the critical items in the reporting packet include P&L, Cash and vendor analysis, Bill to Cash, Book to cash metrics

Why you're the right candidate

    • 7+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (MBA preferred)
    • Prior investment banking or management consulting experience is strongly preferred, Experience supporting transactions.
    • Preferred work experience in Space, aerospace, and high-tech sectors
    • Robust analytical, quantitative, and modeling skills for a wide variety of business models and transaction types
    • Proficiency with accounting and corporate finance, including topics such as revenue recognition, FX, capitalization, accruals, amortization, and multinational entity consolidation
    • Excel guru with the ability to build and teach advanced financial models and translate them into impactful presentations

The estimated base salary range for this role is $100,000-200,000 per year. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position in question, which is based on market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, depth of relevant experience, and other relevant factors.
