We are hiring a DXA Technician (PRN) to oversee the DXA component of our in-house assessment process at our San Francisco facility on an as-needed basis. This role is pivotal in delivering precise body composition and bone mineral density insights to our members, seamlessly integrating DXA data into our performance and health ecosystem.
The right candidate will be comfortable engaging 1:1 with elite athletes and the general fitness population, and performing DXA assessments in a competent and efficient manner. This role is local to San Francisco (in the Presidio area), requiring the appropriate licensure and credentials to administer DXA scans in the state of California.
What You’ll Do:
Administer and oversee DXA scans, ensuring proper setup, execution, and data collection in accordance with California state regulations.
Maintain a high standard of member education, explaining the DXA process in a way that is engaging, informative, and actionable.
Ensure accurate and efficient data integration, maintaining data hygiene and implementing DXA results into our internal athlete management system in a structured, reliable manner.
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and compliance, ensuring all DXA operations adhere to state licensing requirements.
Contribute to a top-tier member experience, bringing enthusiasm and knowledge to every interaction.
What You Bring:
One of the following:
Completion of an accredited California Bone Densitometry course, with licensure to administer DXA scans in the state of California
Designation as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT), with licensure to administer DXA scans in the state of California
Experience running DXA body composition and bone density scans in a clinical or performance setting, ideally with a Hologic machine.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Passion for health, performance, and longevity, with a natural ability to connect with athletes and active individuals.
