As a member of the Everbridge Engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of modular, extensible, and reusable test cases/scripts. In this role, you will be integrated with an engineering team and will partner with other team members to drive quality best practices into the application development process. Promoting continuous improvement, you'll identify opportunities to maximize the customer experience and reduce the test cycle time by improving techniques, and tooling, eliminating waste, and creating a collaborative, proactive approach to quality.

‪What you'll do:‬

    • Define the test automation vision and roadmap, aligning it with overall testing goals and business objectives.
    • Select and implement the most appropriate test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies to meet project needs.
    • ·Design and develop reusable test automation components and libraries to promote maintainability and scalability.
    • Build and maintain advanced reporting for stakeholders and decision-makers.​
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide technical guidance and mentorship to SDETs on test automation best practices.
    • Lead complex automation initiatives and projects from inception to completion, including working closely with engineering managers on project definition, prioritization, and execution.
    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement. Evaluate new testing methodologies and tools and make recommendations for their adoption based on feasibility and potential impact

What you'll bring:

    • 10+ years of experience in testing and automation of enterprise grade distributed applications and services.
    • At least 8 years of experience with Python or a similar programming language for test automation (Python preferred). Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in API test automation using Pytest, RestAssured, or similar tools.
    • At least 7 years’ experience in Frontend automation using Selenium, WebdriverIO , Playwright  or similar tools etc.
    • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
    • Experience with one or more version control systems such as Github, Gitlab etc.
    • Experience in database technologies (SQL and NOSQL)
    • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to learn new skills/technologies quickly.
    • Experience working in an Agile environment.
    • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
    • Familiar with containerization and related technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
    • At least 3 years of prior experience in a Principal/Staff SDET or Automation Architect role is a plus.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
