Everbridge seeks a Senior Account Executive with a demonstrated track record of achievement selling software solutions into named U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.
The Account Executive will be responsible for selling both new and growth business into a select account list, with a focus on the US Army and Air Force military departments, and their respective force protection communities. The SAE will sell the full suite of Everbridge solutions and be responsible for developing relationships with multiple stakeholders and decision makers within these accounts to develop and close larger opportunities. The position is based in The Washington, D.C. metro area.
What you'll do
- Develop a strong understanding of target DoD buyers, initiatives, programs of record, domain knowledge, products and competitors.
- Prospect and identify new opportunities to build and maintain a healthy pipeline.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and sell to multiple buyers within an account.
- Implement a consultative, solution selling methodology, through a combination of direct selling and selling through partners.
- Ability to develop and close sales exceeding $100,000 in annual value.
- Work with Marketing and Business Development to execute campaigns to top buyers.
- Exceed assigned sales objectives and quarterly bookings quotas.
- Accurately manage and forecast your business using salesforce.com.
What you'll bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance or equivalent experience in a related career field while in the military.
- Candidates who are transitioning from the military or have recently transitioned and have commensurate experience as a manager or leader in a related field, will be considered for this role.
- 8+ years of sales experience with SaaS or hosted software to enterprise accounts.
- 5+ years of selling into defense agencies and military departments.
- Background or training in a consultative/solution sales process.
- Strong blueprinting, prospecting, and cold calling skills.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $100,000 - $130,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
