Everbridge is seeking a System Engineer with a strong software development background to join our team in Hungary. This is a remote/home-based role that can be based anywhere in Hungary.

What you'll do:

    • Designing and conceptualizing system architecture
    • Analyzing requirements and deploying Proof of Concepts (POCs)
    • Collaborating with global teams, including Project Managers and Developers
    • Deploying applications on Windows and Linux servers
    • Managing database deployments
    • Debugging software and resolving technical issues

What you'll bring:

    • Strong experience with Windows and Linux servers
    • Proficiency in Active Directory (GPO, user accounts)
    • Experience with web servers (IIS, Apache)
    • Knowledge of software update management and patching
    • Familiarity with SQL (MS SQL and PostgreSQL)
    • Scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash
    • Understanding of programming and debugging (.NET, C#)
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (Dell DAS)
    • Basic understanding of networking topology (DMZ, load balancer)
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering SQL AlwaysOn and Hyper-V (a plus)
    • Experience in GIS (a plus)

Additional Qualification

    • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux environments
    • Familiarity with CAD/Command and Control Systems (a plus)
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Self-motivated, flexible, and innovative with a team-oriented mindset
    • Ability to work well under pressure and support business-critical systems
    • Strong customer-facing skills with an ability to adapt to different cultures
