ROLE SUMMARY
The Program Manager will support strategic, high-priority, cross-functional projects critical to the organization’s success. The ideal candidate has experience managing projects in fast-growing companies and is organized, process-oriented, proactive, and works well in constantly changing environments. In addition to the responsibilities of Program Manager, we are looking for an individual with JIRA expertise to work in tandem with our IT team to continually tweak our set-up to make is easier for more in the org to work more (but spend less time setting up) JIRA.
Responisbilities:
- Manage and execute complex initiatives by developing project plans/timelines, proactively flagging risks, and ensuring cross-functional alignment and collaboration
- Organize cross-functional teams to effectively execute on assigned projects. This includes risk management, stakeholder management, regulation/governance, meeting cadence, communication, etc.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; provide clear, consistent communication and progress updates to key stakeholders
- Make recommendations on suitable strategies and objectives for all projects
- Assume responsibility for internal and external stakeholder accountabilities
- Assess program performance and maximize ROI
- Prepares financial reports related to the program for directors and stakeholders
- Ensure resolution of issues negatively impacting project’s success
- Manage project timeline, ensuring all deliverables are completed timely. When necessary, inform relevant stakeholders of potential impacts to project timeline.
- Manage the business-fit of our implementation of JIRA with ongoing tweaks, project set-up and deprecation, etc.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, communications, marketing, product management, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
- Five years of professional experience in consulting, project/program management, product management, enterprise implementation, or similar roles managing complex programs with multiple projects/work streams - experience can come from within a function vs. in a defined program manager role.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to push projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution
- Demonstrated experience tailoring an instance of JIRA - including fields, workflows, projects, etc. - to an organization’s needs
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; able to navigate changing environments with sound judgment and poise
- An entrepreneurial self-starter who is willing to wear multiple hats at once
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Previous healthcare experience, including project management work in a laboratory setting
- Prior experience in fast-paced, startup environment
$99,000 - $110,000 a year
This position is also eligible for an annual bonus, health, dental, vision & mental health insurance, 401(k) with company match, Flexible PTO, a monthly $100 wellness stipend and various other perks.
