Extreme’s Cloud Operations team is a group of talented engineers passionate about building highly reliable, scalable, and secure solutions in public/private cloud environments. We are looking to hire a highly motivated Cloud Operations Manager to help us build & expand the team. You will manage and direct the Cloud Operations team in Toronto Office. You will also be expected to lead the projects and work with the team to design, develop and implement public / private cloud infrastructure and help the team to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production.     • Build and manage the Cloud Operations team in Canada Toronto office.
    • Provide 24 x 7 cloud service operations support with remote cloud operations teams.
    • Drive cloud service escalations from North America region.
    • Drive service platform development / implementation efforts, schedule, and quality.
    • Provide technical leadership on cloud infrastructure design and implementation.
    • Evaluate, recommend, and implement CloudOps / DevOps technology and solutions.
    • Analyze service performance, identify bottleneck, and provide actionable improvement plans.
    • Improve service availability and scalability through tuning, automation, tools, and process.
    • Improve service monitoring coverage, accuracy, and efficiency.
    • Driving root cause analysis and resolution.
    • Interface with Dev/QA teams to troubleshoot / resolve / prevent production issues.
    • Support cloud security compliance implementation, ensure policies and procedures are followed.
    • Recruit and retain top-level talent to scale the team while maintaining performance, quality, and best practices.

    • Qualifications:
    • BS level technical degree required; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience in a CloudOps / DevOps role and 5+ years of experience in a manager role.
    • Ability to drive to big picture goals while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail.
    • Experience architecting infrastructure for highly available, highly scalable cloud services.
    • Hands on experience with AWS or any public cloud (Azure, GCP etc).
    • Knowledge of Linux, security, and networking fundamentals.
    • Working knowledge of container-based architecture and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes.)
    • Working knowledge of deployment automation development (Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
    • Experience in diagnosing and resolving complex application problems.
    • Working knowledge of Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Ignite and RabbitMQ.
    • Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Kibana, Prometheus)
    • Experience with cloud security and compliance implementation.
    • Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level.
    • Comfortable working within a distributed team located in multiple time zones.
