Position Summary: Extreme Networks is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our legal team. You will play a critical role in providing sound legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial and contractual matters across the globe. Your primary responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, assessing potential risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, to support procurement & sourcing objectives while managing risks for the company. This position will be remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Your primary internal clients are from Extreme’s Sales organization. You will also work closely with stakeholders at all levels including colleagues from the Distribution, Sales Operations, Revenue Recognition, Logistics, Order Management, and Finance teams.
· Use your in-depth experience in negotiating a range of agreements relating to hardware/software distribution, channel partner resale, direct sale, managed service providers, software licensing, cloud services, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), subscriptions, professional services, and sponsorships.
· Closely collaborate with Extreme’s Legal team, business leaders, and other key stakeholders to manage complex commercial-related matters throughout the sales process.
· Advise and help train Sales and Sales Operations on company policies and deal processes.
· Proactively perform issue spotting and effectively advise and help counsel clients in new business and go-to-market programs.
· Provide pragmatic advice to business leaders and corporate staff on legal risks associated with sales deals and related transactions.
· Support continuous improvement of standard form agreements, policies, and legal processes related to commercial transactions.
Desired Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience managing, negotiating, and closing complex commercial transactions, some of which have been in a corporate environment.
· Direct experience with networking technology, IT, SaaS and/or subscription models, and technology licensing.
· End-to-end ownership of contract negotiations with experience in redlining and successfully negotiating a wide range of agreements.
· Proficiency with commercial laws, intellectual property, anti-competition, government regulations, privacy issues, and corporate compliance.
· Superior verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with stakeholders across the company on multifaceted issues and complex legal issues.
· Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and manage numerous projects simultaneously within deadlines.
· Experience with FED/SLED is a plus.
· Can work independently to drive key initiatives as well as function as part of a team to collaboratively achieve success for the team.
· Proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
· Have a good grasp on real-world business scenarios and able to provide legal advice that internal clients can utilize.
· Take a business oriented, creative approach to problem-solving.
· Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
· Ability to judge when to escalate identified issues.
· Ability to influence at varying levels of the organization.
· Great sense of humor!
The estimated base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $160,000.
