Job Description:

Location – Chennai, India
 
Experience: - 8 to 12 years (Relevant).
 
Qualifications - Typically require Bachelor or Master's in Engineering or equivalent
 
Job Description:
The individual will play the role of individual contributor in a development role in the Global product sustenance team. This would require the individual to do the following:
-        Analyze and fix customer issues in various functional areas of the product.
-        Work with SQA members of the sustenance team to replicate customer issues and provide analysis and workaround for the problems.
-        Work with TAC (if required) on critical accounts/issues to enable quicker resolution.
-        Work with mainline development/SQA team members to analyze/fix customer issues in the product.
-        Work with the team to set up and maintain the lab for the team’s usage.
-        Be flexible and available remotely or by phone or by the presence at the office (whichever best suits the situation and the team) to extend help for escalations during holidays or off working hours.
-        Be available to work/own small features, if time permits.
-        Be available for occasional travel to customer sites for debugging/assistance for customer escalations, if required.
 
General Requirements:
·        Excellent analytical, C programming, communications (verbal/written), and interpersonal skills. Should be a team person.
 
Mandatory Requirement:
·        Good “C” programming skills.
·        Experience in working in RTOS environment.
·        Not more than 1 transition of the company in 3 years.
 
Excellent Knowledge / Experience in as many of the following areas:
·        Design / Implementation of Software infrastructure for Hardware-based L2 / L3 Switching
·        Device Drivers, Linux Internals, BSPs, Board bring-up
·        Bridging/Spanning Tree, VLANs (all types), QoS (classification, modification, and policing), IEEE 802.1P, Access Control, Link aggregation, Mirroring, IGMP Snooping, and TCP/IP
·        Unicast and Multicast protocols and applications in IPv4 or IPV6 - OSPF, VRRP, IGMP, PIM, DVMRP, BGP, and MPLS
·        NAT, Server Load Balancing, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1x
·        Experience working on Broadcom chipsets.
