We are looking for a very experienced regulatory compliance specialist to join our international team of compliance engineers responsible for Regulatory Safety, EMC, Intentional Radiators, and Green Compliance. We are seeking a specialist in the approvals of wireless devices for global approvals.
The ideal candidate will possess broad and deep compliance experience to help ensure that our design teams follow best practices to avoid pitfalls during the verification process. She/he must be an industry expert, known for a consultative work approach as well as the demonstrated ability to guide design teams toward compliant designs and monitor tasks of internal team members and deliverables of JDM and OEM partners.
You will be responsible for assuring new products are designed to meet and comply with international regulatory requirements in respect to; EMC, safety and global wireless regulations. You will work with JDM and OEM partners and their compliance teams perform the certification process.
The main responsibilities of this role are:
•Working with internal design teams, within Extreme Networks and our development partners
•Providing visibility and status updates from your team to the internal core teams and management
•Keeping updated with the latest changes in regulatory requirements and trends
•Being accountable for delivering on schedule and meeting the regulatory requirements for projects and programs. Tracking projects using various applications employed by Extreme Networks. Must be capable of using many operational software platforms used to complete regulatory projects.
The successful candidate will:
•Have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent working experience
•Have more than 10 years of regulatory compliance experience, preferably have regulatory software experience with major wireless chipset vendors such as Broadcom etc.
•Be able to demonstrate a consultative work style and proven success as a team leader
•Be familiar with compliance standards, such as; FCC, EMC, ESD, NEBS, IEC/EN/UL60950-1/IEC/EN 62368-1 with a concentration on global wireless regulations
•Have experience with wireless certifications, as well as experience working with test and electrical equipment, such as; power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, data acquisition, instrument control and data storage.
