Senior FIPS 140 Security Engineer
By joining the Extreme Networks security (FIPS) team, you will get an exciting opportunity to work in the growing IT security field. You will work on industry-leading products to make them more secure and robust. Come to be a part of an expanding security industry where you will get a chance to work with industry experts on various commercial products. As a skilled security engineer, you will become an integral part of a team involved in the development of the leading-edge Wi-Fi solutions.

Requirements

    • Knowledge of FIPS 140 requirements.
    • Knowledge of cryptographic encryption algorithms, key exchange algorithms, hashing/message authentication algorithms, PKI, random number generators etc.
    • Experience with various programming languages (C, C++ and Python) and development environments.
    • Ability to understand security standard requirements and apply them to products.
    • Knowledge of common security protocols and their design (i.e. SSH, IPsec, TLS etc.).
    • OpenSSL knowledge and experience.
    • Knowledge of X.509 certificates and their attributes.
    • Vulnerability Analysis and/or penetration testing experience/expertise.
    • Strong knowledge of Linux operating system.
    • Extensive experience developing real time embedded applications for Linux.
    • Experience building testing environments, performing testing and reporting results (technical writing).
    • Participate in maintaining the existing products and provide engineering support to the customer.
    • Participate in the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, enhancement and support of complex software modules.
    • Actively participate in the specifications and other technical documentation reviews to determine software engineering requirements.
    • Take ownership of software modules, provide work estimates, write all the necessary documents, implement and unit test software components.
    • Participate in design and code reviews and provide feedback to your peers, mentor junior developers.
    • Experience with networking technologies and familiarity with subnets and switching/routing.
    • Be able to work with cross functional teams in a collaborative work environment.
    • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills of the embedded Linux platform.
    • Solid verbal and written communications skills.
    • Positive attitude, team player.

Qualification and Experience

    • Requires BS in engineering or computer science.
    • 4-8 years of prior relevant experience
