Position: Sr/Staff Software QA Software Engineer
Business Unit: IN Products Envision

Roles and Responsibilities:
The SQA Engineer would be an individual contributor partnering with other Engineering teams, Services, and Field Engineers to help build and validate the Products and Solutions for high-end customer deployments. The role would require participation from design, and development to deployment and beyond.
The Engineers would write test strategies, and test plans and develop tools and scripts to cover the various functional, performance, and scalability aspects of Platform and Software solution validation
o Work closely with development engineering, product management, and customer solution engineering team to test and validate features functionality and system test profiles for data center networks, network security, and routing technologies.
o Develop test strategy, test topology, and test plan to validate the features end-to-end at scale with network security considerations
o Understand various customer deployments and solutions across data center networks, security, routing, and switching, and validating customer profiles
o Execute test cases and validate the solution end-to-end and document the test results on performance, scale, and security
o Collaborate with the development team to translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suites
o Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and work closely with the engineering team on
the failures and validate the fixes
o Develop automation for the end-to-end solution validation and integrate the automation for seamless validation
o Review customer deployments and customer-found issues and address any gaps in the test coverage
o Involve in customer deployments and customer escalations and help the customers to deploy Extreme Networks’ solutions in the customer environment
Qualifications and Requirements:
o Requires a BS or MS in EE/CS and 3 to 12 years of hands-on experience in functional, system test and automation
o Excellent technical knowledge of Data Center Networks – IP Fabric, VxLAN EVPN, Network Virtualization Framework
o Excellent technical knowledge on Network Security, and Routing Protocols (OSPF, ISIS BGP, Multicast)
o Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in test plan development and validating scalable data center network and network security solutions
o Good knowledge and hands-on experience of test tools.
o Good knowledge of testing methodologies, knowledge of different testing types and overall product life-cycle
o Good Analytical and Communication Skills
