As part of the Extreme Networks Software Quality Assurance team, this talented and highly motivated QA Engineer will help in delivering leading-edge Wi-Fi products and solutions. This position plays an important role in the quality assurance testing of our on-prem and Cloud-based WiFi products and requires participation in the entire test cycle with emphasis on test automation tasks
Responsibilities
What you will do...
The SR QA Engineer is responsible for testing and automation of our on-prem Cloud Appliance. In this role, the engineer is expected to perform planning and execution for the testing of each release. It includes but not limited to working with product managers, developers, and guiding the QA team towards continuous delivery of high-quality software.
Who you are...
- 5+ industry experience in networking and related field
- Solid working experience and a good understanding of networking technologies and concepts
- Familiar with wireless protocols and standards
- Familiar with WLAN advanced security protocols.
- Experience testing IoT solutions considered an asset
- Automation: Python and Selenium is required. Familiarity with robot-framework is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiar with Agile development and testing process and environment
- MS preferred
Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Location: Position is based in our Ontario, Canada location (site is in Thornhill). We're utilizing a FlexFirst approach to allowing employees to balance work from home with access to the office for collaboration as needed.
