The Director of Claims will be responsible for Fairmatic’s internal claims team and be the primary relationship manager for Fairmatic’s Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and Carriers. 

They will design Fairmatic’s Claims strategy in partnership with the Global Head of Insurance Operations and collaborate with the Product team to develop a market-leading customer experience and highly efficient and innovative claims processes. This role is central to designing and executing our claims strategy, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence. As such, we are seeking someone with a growth mindset who is not afraid to try new things and challenge the status quo of claims management in the US Commercial Auto industry. 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the Claims team and oversee its day-to-day operations.
    • Ensure the team adheres to Fairmatic's service standards and delivers excellent customer experiences.
    • Manage relationships with our TPAs, ensuring performance aligns with contractual agreements and company expectations.
    • Collaborate with carrier partners to ensure effective claims processing and resolution.
    • Work closely with the Product team to design and refine claims processes that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall claims strategy in alignment with Fairmatic's business goals.
    • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of claims operations.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to keep Fairmatic's claims processes up to date.
    • Ensure all claims activities are conducted in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • At least 7 years of experience in claims management within the insurance industry (auto required, commercial auto preferred).
    • Experience managing claims teams and working with third-party administrators.
    • Strong knowledge of insurance coverages, claims processes, and industry regulations.
    • Experience working with claims data to scrutinise and improve portfolio performance.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
    • Experience working with product or technology groups to implement or manage claims systems and processes.
