Company Overview
Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. The company ignites the passions of global sports fans and maximizes the presence and reach for hundreds of sports partners globally by offering innovative products and services across Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, allowing sports fans to Buy, Collect and Bet. Through the Fanatics platform, sports fans can buy licensed fan gear, jerseys, lifestyle and streetwear products, headwear, and hardgoods; collect physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets; and bet as the company builds its Sportsbook and iGaming platform. Fanatics has an established database of over 100 million global sports fans, a global partner network with over 900 sports properties, including major national and international professional sports leagues, teams, players associations, athletes, celebrities, colleges, and college conferences, and over 2,000 retail locations, including its Lids retail business stores.

As a market leader with more than 18,000 employees, and hundreds of partners, suppliers, and vendors worldwide, we take responsibility for driving toward more ethical and sustainable practices. We are committed to building an inclusive Fanatics community, reflecting and representing society at every level of the business, including our employees, vendors, partners and fans. Fanatics is also dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where we all live, work, and play through strategic philanthropic initiatives.

Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a COO of Global Operations, whose primary responsibility would be to ensure all products are released on time, with high quality, and in a globally coordinated, scalable and efficient manner. This role will report to Fanatics Collectibles Chief Strategy Officer and be based in Dallas.

This role is HIGHLY process driven, and as such, we are looking less for a manufacturing expert (we have a great one already), and more for a global process and coordination leader with high attention to detail, a propensity for keeping things on time, and a strategic / quantitative bend to help understand forward capacity needs.

Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinating efforts and teaming to drive “accountability” across all card production functions to ensure on time delivery, including: Product, Design, Pre-Press, Licensing Approvals, Manufacturing, Autograph Operations, and Project Management.

    • Overseeing global manufacturing and supply chain strategies to ensure both near term and long-term capacity and quality needs are being met. This will include build, buy and or partner assessments across all relevant markets, as well as understanding of transit times, tariff implications and local supply needs from the Commercial and Product teams (more akin to S&OP, and done in conjunction with our existing heads of Manufacturing and Supply Chain).

    • Harmonizing global production processes, including Project management, Design, Pre-press, Engineering / BOM, QA, Manufacturing (including current or potential 3rd party operators), and Supply chain areas. At present, each region works somewhat disparately, and we need to bring more of a global shared services approach with local ownership / oversight and or influence in core areas (without disrupting current production timelines). As part of this, the leader will need to determine where incremental hiring needs are globally and be responsible for either assisting in the development and or management of the requisite teams.

Experience

    • Demonstrated process / project management background on a global scale at a senior leadership level
    • Significant experience in managing central scheduling / PM systems
    • Strong data driven / strategic background, with experience in S&OP, capacity and or long-range planning preferred
    • 10+ years of senior leadership experience leading globally scaled and complex teams
    • Experience scaling processes from mid-market to large cap, and used to working in a transitional, fast paced and ever-changing environment
    • Manufacturing and or Supply Chain experience a plus, but not necessarily required
