The Warehouse Specialist will perform general physical activities such as to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment. Manage verification, acceptance, and counting of all incoming goods and their condition.
Responsibilities:
- Receive & separate all inbound packages delivered via major carriers for departments
- Deliver all inbound Autograph Dept packages to the Autograph room.
- Log & deliver all non-Auto packages to the proper person/dept.
- Sign for all packages delivered from GC Packaging and deliver to the appropriate person/dept.
- Make post office runs 2-3 times a week to pick up all letters & parcels for Consumer Fulfillment and the MVP Buyback program in my personal vehicle.
- Loadout all the Autograph department’s daily FedEx shipments on the FedEx truck at the end of each business day.
- Schedule and facilitate movers/assemblers when needed.
- Place/receive Uline orders for all departments.
- Schedule, stage, & prepare all shipping documents for destruction truckloads going to vendor
- Upload all documents for destruction truckloads in Box for visibility.
- Log & manage all finished goods stored in Topps storage closet.
- Pull and ship finished goods from Topps storage closet per HR requests for Immersion programs.
- Facilitate the shipping and receiving of products, supplies and materials as required.
- Contact carrier representative to obtain quotes, make carrier arrangements and issue documentations and instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Resolve discrepancies between orders and goods, such as delays, condition, weight, quality, etc.
- Ensure goods received are accounted for as per the pack list.
- Support the planning and storage of palatized goods.
- Support workplace safety compliance across the departments at the facility.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping & receiving area.
- Ability to multitask and assist production team when required.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of shipping and receiving/ warehousing experience.
- Knowledge of major couriers – FedEx, Purolator, UPS, etc. including how to operate their respective software packages,
- High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment.
- Experience with preparing international shipments including customs documents is an asset.
- Ability to operate Forklift and Pump Trucks safely and efficiently.
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Good written and oral communication skills
