Responsibilities

    • Must be willing to work Flex Shift schedule - Mon-Fri | 12pm - 8pm. (Some weekends on occasion/as-needed)
    • Under the general supervision of the Security Manager, develops security, patrols work schedules. Confers with Security Manager on special, regular security needs, projects, and research. Attends meetings, workshops and other activities, as assigned. Maintains liaison with Supervisors and Managers. Uses computer, modifies and retrieves documentation, activity logs and other data, and composes and prepares correspondence, pass down log, reports and other written materials. Makes recommendations regarding the purchase of safety and other equipment and supplies. Assigned to various work shifts during a 24-hour time period, Sunday through Saturday
    • Supervises Loss Prevention staff and/or employees by verbally updating, scheduling and ensuring an effective department flow. Checking other staff’s reports for thoroughness, coordinating security training, performing inventory of security property, conducting tours, and issues Micro-prox access and office keys to employees
    • Dispatches loss prevention staff to needed areas. Uses radio to maintain constant communication. Coordinates placement of staff and coordinates logistic of products. Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Able to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel. Able to understand and follow safety procedures. Able to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures. Able to resolve customer complaints and concerns
    • Observes all activity on grounds and throughout the plant by viewing video cameras and security panel in operation areas, and monitoring all employees and visitors entering and exiting. Provides escort service for visitors and staff as required. Patrols grounds and buildings on foot. Checks all departments for safety regulation enforcement. Monitors fire, burglar alarms, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked; sounds alarm in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Generates badges and issues badges for visitors and employees. Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure. Informs and warns violators of rule infraction, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
    • Administers First Aid by treating simple cuts, administering CPR, referring injured employees to appropriate medical facility, and provides assistance and security during emergencies and in crisis situations.

Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 2 or more years of experience in a loss prevention or security role
    • 1 or more years of experience in a loss prevention supervisory role preferred
    • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
    • Security license preferred
    • Driver’s License
    • Strong knowledge of access control system, alarm systems and CCTV equipment
    • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
    • Great verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
    • Leadership Ability
