THE OPPORTUNITY
Provide leadership by managing all aspects of Treasury and the associated ledgers of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for Topps International, including internal & external reporting requirements for the International Entities within Topps International, comprising Germany, Italy, Latin America, India, Japan and Singapore.
 
This role will require a strong accountant with proven International experience in multiple geographies.   To be successful in this job, you must be a forward looking, proactive leader with business experience in increasingly complex businesses, across geographies and business channels. The candidate must be an experienced, collaborative accounting professional with the background and interpersonal skills sufficient to function successfully in a growth-enabling and challenging position. He or she must have the ability to embrace and assume “ownership” of various processes and reports, implementing structure and enhancing maturity. Attention to detail, superior organizational and project management skills, and exceptional communication skills are important.
 
JOB FUNCTIONS
This position will provide technical accounting, financial reporting, operational accounting and business finance support for Fanatics Collectibles; specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
·      Control of the International Treasury Accounts and movements of funds in and out of these accounts.
·      Accountability for an International Cash Flow Forecast that meets the needs of the International business and the Fanatics Collectibles business, ensuring accuracy of inflows/outflows and allowing decision making on funding needs
·      Accountability for the credit card program and any other programs with our banking partners
·      Accountability for the Accounts Payable ledger and the control of payments from this ledger in Europe.
·      Accountability for the Accounts Receivable ledger and the collection of any outstanding amounts through direct contact with customers
·      Responsibility for driving improvements to processes and best practices into the other functional areas
·      Ensuring accurate books and records for the above ledgers in the entities being consolidated into Topps International.
·      Managing the internal and external teams to achieve the reporting requirements of Fanatics Collectibles for the associated ledgers.
·      To work alongside the finance team to provide business support to Topps International to continue to drive growth and expansion.
·      Identification of any tax issues related to cash movements and working with the finance team to resolve.
·      Managing finance projects including systems implementations, policy development and operationalization of technical accounting and reporting matters for these functional areas.
·      Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other financial analyses and special projects requested by management for these entities.
·      Close working relationship with the Finance Controller Topps International, International Accountant and Management Accountants. 
·      Maintain effective relationships with the Fanatics Collectibles Treasury and Finance teams, including regular reporting and discussion on cash flows.
·      Coordinate and assist with requests from Topps International and Fanatics Collectibles external auditors
·       Assist with managing and developing an efficient, clean and successful audit
 
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following credentials: 
 ·      Bachelor (or higher) degree in accounting or finance
·      Minimum of 8-10 years of technical accounting and/or financial reporting experience, auditing practice alongside private experience preferred.
·      Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA with minimum of 8 years experience.
·      Experience in acquisitions and related integration activities
·      Experience in ERP implementation projects and other efforts to increase automation in accounting closing procedures, D365 and Oracle experience of interest
·      Experience in building cross-functional relationships and partnering with senior leaders
·      Strong understanding and implementation of an internal control environment
·      Knowledge of US GAAP and ability to work between International GAAPs and US GAAP
·      Ability to think proactively and work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
·      Desire to develop and continuously improve processes
·      Experience handling annual audits and working with internal and external audit functions
·      Excellent proficiency in the use of spreadsheet programs and other software applications for financial analysis, experience with ERPs (Oracle, D365) is preferred
·      Must have strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail
·      Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
·      Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, German or Italian language an advantage
·      Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
