Fanatics Collectibles is a company working at the intersection of collectibles and technology.  We are backed by some of the best investors, sports & entertainment properties and operators in the world.  Fanatics Collectibles is integrating with Fanatics’ global digital sports platform – which includes 900 sports relationships and >81 million reachable fans – to reimagine the collectibles business for the 21st century.

The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and managing hobby and hobby retail products sales and distributon. This person will work together with current and future business partners to expand hobby trading cards category in Brazil, establishing sstrong relationship with all the stakeholders in this category (influencers, breakers, stores, distributors) and overseeing Trading Card Show and Events in the region. This is a full time position from our São Paulo office, reporting to the Head of LATAM.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and structure country specific strategies together with the Head of LATAM in order to achieve sales targets
    • Identify and engage with local influencers and flagship stores in hobby & entertainment category
    • Develop country specific strategies to grow the hobby business in order to achieve sales targets
    • Analyze local market opportunities and needs, and strategies to address them
    • Secure product release calendar
    • Define and implement marketing activations to support the growth of the hobby category
    • Manage sales budget, develop a reporting and tracking tool and report on performance
    • Optimize existing partnerships in the hobby category and identify, pursue and optimize new partnerships
    • Stays abreast of releases and pricing within the competitive market
    • Works together internal departments (Operations, Brand, Finance) to secure allocation, delivery and profitable growth
    • Oversee Trading Card Shows and Events Strategy

Required Skills and Experience

    • At least 5 years' experience in a relevant sales position, ideally connected with games, hobby, bookstores and toy chains
    • A sports fan with a strong understanding of the commercial landscape, priority given to collectors of trading cards
    • Proven knowledge and application of a wide range of sales techniques and concepts to increase sales within the region
    • Strong presentation skills and and a flexible and organized work method
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to change
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently
    • Comfortable operating in a global company and prepared to travel
    • Fluent in Portuguese & English (written and verbal) are required, Spanish is very beneficial
