Our Associate Technical Designer assists with all day-to-day operational functions within the Technical Design Department. Supports with maintaining key buy ready deliverables that achieve department goals, ensuring product integrity while keeping the customer in mind.

Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with Product Developers on the tracking of fit samples. 
    • Measure and spec incoming fit samples.
    • Initiate and maintain seasonal measurement templates. 
    • Support with the development of technical sketches in Illustrator.
    • Arrange Fit Meetings; schedule time with Fit Model, set up fit meeting & establish agenda. 
    • Assist during Fit Meetings; take photos, notes and general support as necessary by Sr. Tech Designers
    • Set up and pass off fit comments. 
    • Update and maintain tech pack integrity.
    • Maintain Sample Library from prototypes through SMS. 
    • Partner with Art Team on decoration placement.
    • Daily interaction with Design, Merchandising, Product Development & overseas partners
    • Assist with building and implementing technical global standards library.
    • Support with additional departmental projects as necessary.


    • Associates Degree in Apparel Design, Technical Design, Fit Engineer, or related field of study preferred
    • Preferred Internship experience in the fashion industry with knowledge of garment development and construction
    • 1-3 years of relative experience in the Apparel industry
    • Basic knowledge of pattern making, sewing, and garment construction
    • Must be deadline driven and have a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
    • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong sense of urgency and intuitive sense of priorities & accuracy.
    • Able to take direction and work with various personalities
    • Knowledge of Illustrator and MS Office applications
