The Talent Licensing Assistant Manager, North America Sports & Entertainment is responsible for assisting in the management of autograph licensing agreements, signings, and events between athletes, celebrities and Topps.  This position will report into the Talent Licensing Manager and act as the liaison between athletes, celebrities, agencies and Topps in the procurement of autographs for product needs.  The Talent Licensing Assistant Manager will work closely with internal business units including product development, operations, accounts payable, e-commerce, content, marketing, customer service, as well as manage daily correspondence with external agencies.  The Talent Licensing Assistant Manager will work closely with the brand team to ensure that autograph content is aligned with all product requirements.

Responsibilities:

    • Act as the liaison between Topps, agents/marketing reps, signing representatives and team contacts for the coordination of signings.
    • Oversee and optimize team of Talent Licensing Planners on autograph account procurement and management.
    • Lead for team relations on signing program at team facilities.
    • Manage Topps signing reps and consultants, ensuring a streamlined SOP for talent signings.
    • Work directly with brand teams to create/review product subject lists, provide guidance on talent relations, analyze procurement needs and manage operational deadlines.
    • Communicate autograph procurement developments and ongoing issues to brand and operation teams on ongoing basis.
    • Prioritize projects and card signings based on deadlines and milestone calendar dates.
    • Spearhead new talent initiatives and marketing/licensing events.
    • Work cross functionally with marketing on player social media activations.

Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience in related field (sports agency, sports marketing, athlete management, account management).
    • Self-confident, energetic, pro-active, organized, highly detailed and goal orientedIndependent thinker, excellent judgement and professional demeanor.
    • Work well under pressure, able to meet tight deadlines and thrive in changing circumstances; enjoys a fast-paced environment.
    • Team oriented with ability to interact with personnel across the organization.
    • Strong passion and comprehensive knowledge of sports.
    • Exceptional written and oral communication; proven ability to manage relationships.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with focus on Excel.
    • Knowledge of Topps business and product lines.
    • Schedule flexibility for significant travel both on weekdays and weekends.
    • Bachelor’s degree.
$87,000 - $108,000 a year
The salary range for this posting is $87,000 -  $108,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
