THE ROLE:  Fanatics Collectibles, is looking to add you to the team – an experienced, talented new colleague to fill the position of VP of legal international – Fanatics Collectibles. You will be a trusted member of Fanatics Collectibles’ Legal team and the leadership team of Fanatics Collectibles’ international team working closely with senior leadership.  This role will be cross-functional and support all business groups across all areas.
 
This role will be a strategic hands-on, results-oriented, business-minded attorney. You will be lead lawyer as part of the legal team providing general counsel and advice on a diverse range of matters related to day-to-day business and operations of the overall business and responsible for the global management and strategy of all Fanatics Collectibles full spectrum of legal, compliance and regulatory efforts, advice and relations.



 

Responsibilities & Duties

    • Rendering advice and guidance regarding legal strategy, interpretation and all legal, compliance and regulatory matters;
    • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad variety of commercial agreements, ranging from the day-to-day/routine to super complex transactions, as well as terms and conditions for merchandise purchases, offerings and products on any scale;
    • Providing advice and counsel on marketing and promotions matters, including review of contest rules and digital content, including webpages and online promotions;
    • Interviewing, selecting, engaging, and supervising outside counsel;
    • Developing and creating business level appropriate policies controls, procedures and programs;
    • Conducting training related to all responsibility areas;
    • Engage, oversee and leverage outside counsel, as needed.

Educational & Professional Experience/other Requirement

    • Current Practicing Certificate (UK) or equivalent 
    • Bachelor of Law (LLB) / Masters of Law (LLM) / Legal Practice Course (LPC)
    • 10+ years PQE; prior significant in-house experience
    • Multi-jurisdictional legal coverage experience preferred
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills with confidence to communicate with business leaders and all level of employees
    • Practical and proactive problem solver with a positive attitude
