JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Specialist 2 is essential to timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.  Under general supervision, the Warehouse Specialist 2 will be assigned advanced assignments related to shipping, kitting or intra-company delivery via company vehicle, power forklifts and manually operated lifts.  Warehouse Specialist 2 will also be required to flex into other areas of the warehouse as needed to perform all manner of material handling, product picking, special labeling and packing using handheld technology and inventory software systems.  This position requires sustained moderate physical activity throughout the shift, including ability to crouch, climb, push, pull, reach, lift and carry.  Warehouse Specialist Athletes will be assigned in varying work centers and it is essential that they are able to read their schedule and report to the correct work center on time for each scheduled shift. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
×           Knowledgeable of current shipping software (Varsity) and other technology applications used in Distribution Operations.
×           Understands and completes various Transportation documents (shipping labels, BOL, air freight bills, etc).
×           Responsible for validating the correct UPC and SRP requirements for all large key account and mass merchant orders before they are processed and shipped.
×           Takes a shop pack and collects all parts in proper quantities to send to contract labor partners in kit form.
×           Negotiates pricing and time for completion, completes associated paperwork, provides instruction and follow-up as needed to ensure receipt of finished goods timely. 
×           May operate company vehicles including but not limited to box truck, forklift, and company leased or owned vehicles to deliver parts, equipment and supplies between buildings.
×           May load/unload deliveries using power forklift and/or other manually operated lifts. 
×           Sorts and delivers in-house packages, parcels, and supplies to proper department or person.
×           Receives finished goods from Assembly. Verifies description, quality, quantity, and paperwork. Reports all deficiencies to leadership.
×           Restocks primary and secondary stock locations in a timely and accurate manner.
×           Must enter data into computer database maintaining a very high level of accuracy.
×           Fills customer orders from stock using a tablet computer in a timely, accurate manner and reviews items for final quality.
×           Fulfills manufacturing departments Bill of Material (BOM) and supply orders and deliver to appropriate work center.
×           Maintains a 98% picking accuracy.
×           Properly packaging all product, including completion of special packaging requirements, determination of most efficient and economical packaging option, and ensure proper packing to
×           Participates in cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.
×           Performs general housekeeping and department six sigma activities.
×           Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.
×           Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily. 
×           Performs other duties as assigned.
 
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
×           High School Diploma or Equivalent
×           Valid driver’s license, with no moving violations in the last three years
×           6 months general warehouse or shipping/receiving experience
 
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
×           Close attention to detail
×           Understand written instruction
×           Proficient data entry skills and software applications including Microsoft Suite, Infor Powerlink/FMS, and the ability to learn new software programs as needed.
×           Ability to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining mental focus.
×           General knowledge of warehouse, shipping, and receiving procedures.
×           Proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes, order flow, bills of material, shop packets materials and supplies.
×           Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess relevant facts, identify alternative approaches and supply recommended solutions.
×           Ability to read and follow instruction
×           Ability to drive a power forklift and attain power forklift operator’s certificate.
×           Ability to count accurately and perform simple math functions
×           Ability to inspect materials and finished products for defects
×           Ability to drive all company vehicles including daylight, nighttime and inclement weather conditions.
×           Maintain current certifications:
- PIT
- DOT Physical/License
- Fall protection

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
×           Ability to lift 25 lbs.
×           Ability to participate in a team lift of 50 lbs.
×           Able to stand and walk for entire shift
×           Comfortable with frequent ladder use
×           Able to turn or bend
×           Able to grip/grasp repetitively
×           Able to push a cart continuously
×           DOT exam required to operate vehicles

×           May work in a warm, humid environment
×           May work outdoors/non-climate controlled
×           May work around machinery with moving parts
×           Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents
×           Required to know & don PPE applicable to work-center guidelines which may include:
- Eye protection
- Heat resistant gloves
- Fall protection
