We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-Press Manager to join our dynamic team at Topps International.  As a Pre-Press Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of pre-press activities for our trading card products. This position requires a meticulous attention to detail, excellent technical proficiency, and the ability to lead a team of pre-press professionals.

Responsibilities:

    • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and lead a team of pre-press technicians and designers, editorial and QA team
    • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure continuous improvement and professional development.

    • Pre-Press Operations:
    • Oversee the entire pre-press workflow, from file preparation to proofing and final approval.
    • Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of digital files for print production.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and production, to optimize the quality and efficiency of pre-press processes.

    • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standard of print-ready files.
    • Conduct thorough pre-flight checks to identify and rectify any potential issues before production.

    • Technology and Software Management:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest pre-press technologies and software.
    • Manage and maintain pre-press equipment, including but not limited to RIP software, proofing devices, and plate-making equipment.

    • Process Optimization:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve pre-press workflows for increased efficiency and reduced turnaround times.
    • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for the pre-press department.

    • Communication:
    • Collaborate with various departments, including design, production, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
    • Act as a liaison between pre-press and other teams to address any issues and facilitate project timelines.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field.
    • 10 years broader progressive experience at least 5+ years in a similar pre-press management role
    • Proven experience in a pre-press management role within the printing or trading card industry.
    • Proficient in industry-standard pre-press software and equipment.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
