RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish system architecture and default detection system for Advanced Driver Assistance System (“ADAS”) systems including sensors, HMI, actuators and ECUs, leading the team through the production development process and cross coordinating with the complete vehicle team. Collect and review functional requirements and specifications. Develop and document technical requirements for default detection system. Determine hardware architecture, current and future, for ADAS/ AD technologies. Support safety analysis on the system level. Select software/ hardware development tools. Provide expert assistance for the team in integration and troubleshooting. Support test and validation for ADAS/ AD system, and complete vehicle validation. Support the team for packaging study, homologation requirements and investigation, and technology feasibility analysis. Support R&D team with architecture and functional design.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or in a related field and 2 years of experience in job offered or closely related occupation. **Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.**
REQUIRED SKILLS:  Must possess expertise/ knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/ knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/ knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time." Required expertise/ knowledge includes: Experience on automotive active safety system. Radar, video camera, PDC, actuators and other body ECUs. Embedded software and hardware, API of basic software package, and diagnosis on body electronics. ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements. Extensive experience architecting complex, highly distributed real-time embedded systems. Familiarity with international standards and regulations for Body electronics and ADAS. Computer and engineering development applications for body electronics. Travel requirements: Ability to travel up to 15% within and outside of the U.S. to various unanticipated project sites based on project needs.
