CAE, Sealing Engineer

Position: CAE Sealing engineer
Your Role:
As the CAE sealing engineer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to design seals for multiple vehicle programs. Basically, through virtual engineering, you will be able to help to find optimal seal designs early in the design cycle. Your role will not be limited to seals as you will also be involved in durability for closures and BIW.
Basic Qualifications:
·      Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master’s preferred
·      Minimum of five years working on Seals. 8+ years of CAE
·      Design and FEA of static and dynamic automotive elastomeric materials
·      Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanics of material
·      Expert applied skill in ANSA, Hyperworks, ABAQUS and other FEM codes
Demonstrated ability to deliver analysis on difficult projects with tight timing constraints
Preferred Qualifications:
·      Develop material models for various in-house and purchased elastomers (TPV and EPDM). Perform CLD, Insertion/extraction, 3D Single plane bending, 3D Multiplane bending, load / height loss analysis
·      Develop glass system 2D profiles that meet sealing targets for CLD, insertion, extraction and assembly
·      Develop CAE testing plan and methods for accurate simulation of glass system assembly and function
·      Analyze 2D and 3D finite element problems of elastomeric seals for automotive weather-strip applications 
·      Fatigue life prediction of elastomers
·      Excellent communication + teamwork skills
