THE TEAM
We're at the creative, cutting-edge of fashion. It's our job to source emerging boutiques and spot trends, as well as working with the world's biggest luxury brands. The Commercial team in the US consists 
of Business Development, Brand (E-Concessions) Management, and Account (Boutique) Management. We collaborate with almost every team across the business, which keeps things varied and exciting! From building relationships with our supply partners (brands and boutiques) to making sure that all of our products look beautiful on our site; we have a big part to play in everything we do. 

THE ROLE
The role is to collaborate with the Head of Commercial on business development strategy for North America (US + Canada) across brands and multi-brand boutiques in the luxury space. This person will be pivotal in planning and implementing new business strategy into a tactical and operational plan of action. You will represent Farfetch externally, be potential supply partners ambassador internally and be recognised as an expert outside the company. 

This person will utilize established relationships with high-end boutiques and brands in order to introduce them to the Farfetch marketplace business model, build partnership strategy and external trust. This person will be the primary point of contact for potential new supply partners and work cross functionally to project manage the successful onboarding on new business. The success of Farfetch.com is guided by the relationships with our supply partners and this team member will have a pivotal role in the success of the business.

We’re looking for an analytical, commercially minded, strategic thinker, who is confident in managing complicated cross-functional projects and influencing change across senior stakeholders, both internal and external.

New Business Prospecting:
- You will use established relationships to provide support in the building and growth of Farfetch marketplace concept in the luxury ecommerce industry.
- Build on existing new business pipeline for brands & boutiques in line with current business needs. 
- Effectively forecast size of new business opportunities. 
- Understand the Farfetch marketplace operating model, costs structure and onboarding options.
- Effectively manage new partnership strategy, contract negotiations process, ensure a successful long-term partnership and profitable relationship for both parties.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Support in developing short, medium & long term business development strategy for Farfetch North America region. 
    • Hit the ground running to support current business development workstreams.
    • Stay up to date on current industry trends & challenges; pivoting business develop strategy in real time based on business needs. 
    • Understand the luxury ecommerce industry and the specificities of the US & Canada market, monitor other ecommerce channels outside Farfetch.
    • Support commercial team on current partnership expansions & contract renewals.
    • Support the design and implementation of ad-hoc commercial agreements to generate additional revenue working closely with other teams across the company. 
    • Ensure, maintain and facilitate on-going relationships with potential supply partners by working with other departments: Commercial Planning & Pricing, Account Management, Operations.
    • Travel, when needed, to pitch Farfetch marketplace to relevant industry businesses.
    • Travel within continental US + Canada.

WHO YOU ARE

    • You have a bachelor’s degree with a strong quantitative component.
    • You have 4-6 years commercial experience with an emphasis on business to business relations, business development or sales. 
    • Experience in fashion or luxury industry preferred. You have strong relationships in luxury, ecommerce, retail or fashion industries
    • You have excellent planning and organisational skills; expertise to manage and improve complex projects
    • You have exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
    • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with (occasional) ambiguity
    • You are a strategic thinker with an emphasis on operational excellence
    • You are commercially minded - strong focus on business growth with ability to work towards metrics and targets
    • You have project management experience, preferably in technology / digital / e-commerce
    • You have the ability to influence senior characters internally and externally
    • Strong stakeholder management
    • Knowledge of MS Excel (can perform complex functions), Google Slide (can create impactful presentations, both written and verbal).

NYC WAGE TRANSPARENCY LAW

    • The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $100,000[year]; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
