Our new office in Via Turati is a strategic hub, and home to all of the NGG staff functions. Turati is where the behind the scenes driving force of NGG is brought to life; this is harmonized with the archive exhibits of brand collaborations found throughout the office.
THE ROLE
New Guards Group is seeking a dedicated Accountant, Retail to join its Administrative Department, who will report directly to the Accounting Manager, Retail.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist in performing routine accounting tasks and related activities for the company's retail stores;
- Maintain precise records of financial transactions in the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable;
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports for accounts receivable and accounts payable, including preparing weekly payment schedules;
- Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of sales, cash receipts, bank statements, and credit card transactions in the general ledger;
- Assist in the month-end accounting closure process by reviewing accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries;
- Review intercompany transactions, investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise;
- Assist in the review of financial statements;
- Engage in daily communication with internal and external business partners.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- At least 2 years of previous experience as an accountant, better if in retail/fashion industry;
- English proficiency;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software;
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
