We're a full service in-house legal, corporate governance and compliance function, with lawyers in London, Porto, Lisbon, Shanghai, Dubai, Milan and New York. We provide solutions to challenging business matters and leadership and advice on strategic projects. We are a valued and integrated partner to global teams, in all business areas.


Our London office is located in Old Street, London’s tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing and Product. Reporting directly to the Senior Head of Legal, you will enjoy a broad corporate and commercial role, delivering high-quality legal advice and services, with a focus on complex matters and across multiple operational territories. Acting as a true business partner, this role requires someone who is hands on and commercially minded, with a strong professional ethic and the energy, interest and training to pursue a broad array of non-contentious corporate and commercial matters. This is a highly visible and exciting role in a well regarded, dynamic and growing team. This senior position will be ideal for an experienced lawyer looking to branch out in-house into a more business-focussed role.


    • You will work on all corporate and commercial matters across the Group.

    • Corporate matters that you will work on include:
    • working on global M&A, equity and debt capital markets, joint ventures, minority investments, restructurings and other complex intra-group arrangements; 
    • providing strategic advice and input on the assessment of potential opportunities;
    • supporting the group's corporate development strategy on a variety of strategic projects, including divestitures of non-core assets;
    • proactively identifying areas to develop and continuously improve processes and operational efficiencies; and
    • working closely with the Corporate Development, Finance and Tax teams.

    • Commercial matters that you will work on include:
    • supporting various Farfetch business divisions with general commercial contract reviews in particular as they relate to the core business of the Farfetch Marketplace;
    • instructing external counsel on specialist matters such as real estate and employment; and
    • taking ownership of material business projects where required and working with the Senior Head of Legal to achieve strategic commercial goals.


    • You are a UK qualified lawyer with 6 - 8 years' PQE as a corporate or commercial lawyer.
    • You have excellent private practice training or prior in-house exposure, perhaps in the form of a client secondment, and you are passionate about consumer-led businesses.
    • You have experience of leading corporate transactions and/or material commercial projects and advising on different structures and are able to work autonomously.
    • You have strong leadership skills and can manage and develop more junior members of a team.
    • You have experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex transaction documents and can advise internal stakeholders in a manner consistent with the strategic goals and values of the business.
    • You have strong organisational skills with the ability to oversee and achieve multi-faceted projects, in a global context.
    • You have proven ability to deliver commercial pragmatic solutions and concise advice.
    • You have a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
    • You are self-sufficient, forward thinking, innovative and agile.
