Responsibilities

    • Analyze and solve complex transportation planning or engineering problems involving all travel modes  
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, using strong writing and presentation skills  
    • Use a variety of software programs effectively and make timely and informed recommendations to elected officials, managers, and decisionmakers  
    • Work on a variety of projects, which may include traffic and transit simulation, campus plans, multimodal corridor studies, transportation impact studies, bicycle and pedestrian studies, regional transportation plans, and more  
    • Manage projects and develop high-quality staff and client relationships  

Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in engineering design, travel demand forecasting, and/or traffic operations 
    • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or a related major (e.g., geography, math, statistics, economics)  
    • Experience with project management, design, and marketing   
    • Excellent technical writing and public speaking skills  
    • Experience with one or more of the following software: HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, Vistro, VISSIM, Cube/Voyager, TransCAD, EMME, AutoCAD  
    • Willingness to travel to other geographic markets as necessary  
    • Professional license (highly desirable)  
    • GIS experience (preferred, but not required)
$80,000 - $100,000 a year
The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 per year. Placement within the stated pay range will be determined based upon education, experience, and qualifications.
