To oversee all aspects of power and electrical needs for SMX including (but not limited to) cable management, powering structures, managing generators, connecting operations trailers to power, installing & overseeing on-track power management and safety, following Feld Safety protocols, load in and load out responsibilities, and assisting with other misc. dept. tasks.

Essential Functions

    • Responsible for connecting all power to on-track structures, towers, chain motors, generators, etc., including all power needs in Paddock and other external locations.
    • Distribute, connect, and manage all generator power.
    • Ability to set generators to proper output for electrical needs.
    • Coordinate with departments on misc. power needs and be on-call for all electrical issues.
    • Manage and assess all cable inventory and report, repair, and or replace any damaged cable.
    • Maintain and follow Feld safety protocols and procedures for all show power and electrical needs.
    • Setup, run, and strike moving lights and controllable LED tube lights.

Qualifications

    • High School Diploma.
    • 3-5 years of specialized training in electrical work required.
    • Travel, stage, and or venue experience preferred.
    • Journeyman Electrical License or Master Electrician License required.

    • Ability to work in everchanging conditions, including weather, non-traditional hours, and unique environments.
    • Possess all necessary skills and knowledge on current electrical processes.
    • Work well with others, communicate effectively, maintain a positive attitude, and be able to adapt to unexpected challenges and changes.
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and work in loud, fast paced environments.
    • Previous experience and or willingness to learn to operate a forklift and or telehandler.
$1,000 - $1,300 a week
