Fellow began as a Kickstarter campaign and has grown into a global brand with distributors and customers in more than 50 countries. We bring the specialty coffee experience to people's homes via beautifully designed coffee ware that marries form and function. We currently have a small, passionate, and committed team that loves to see coffee tools come to life.
Fellow is seeking a collaborative, analytical self-starter to lead Financial Planning & Analysis, reporting to the CFO. The FP&A manager will work across all departments to ensure that the forecast is reflective of the company’s strategic plan, empower cross-functional execution of Fellow’s strategy, and be a key thought partner to business leaders across the company. The successful candidate will enjoy building and evolving software systems and processes to meet the dynamic needs of our high-growth business.
Responsibilities
- Own FP&A for Fellow
- Drive planning, forecasting and reporting related processes across the company as both a process owner and analytical thought leader
- Develop reporting metrics / KPIs and present data with a clear point of view so that insights can be used to help drive financial and operational strategy
- Provide insights into month-over-month variances to plan
- Own demand forecast as part of Sales & Operations Planning process
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reviews with leadership
- Prepare analyses and presentation materials as needed by senior leadership, including reports, forecasts and visualizations and support for Board and investor presentations.
- Collaborate across the company to drive coordinated and disciplined execution
- Partner closely with business owners throughout the company to build collaborative working relationships and influence strategy and planningInform investment decisions with sound analysis, develop and communicate an opinion; evaluate and monitor performance
- Translate high-level business problems into more specific questions that can be answered through data analyses; identify actionable business recommendations
- Streamline and enhance Fellow’s processesIteratively build planning and budgeting processes with an eye towards simplicity and efficiency
- Ensure alignment of financial planning & forecasting activities with accounting
- Play critical role in financial planning tools & technology selection, implementation and be a power user
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in finance and strategy
- Self-motivated, with a love of complex problem solving, and a results-oriented approach to a dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand the business at the executive/investor-level as well as the day-to-day operations
- Exceptional cross-functional communication skills and ability to effectively convey insights from analyses to senior managers
- Ability to drive complex projects to completion using effective project management, communication, and influence; strong ownership of tasks/deadlines/projects
- Experience working with large datasets and resourcefulness in obtaining data when clean and or complete information is not available
- High proficiency in Google Sheets or MS Excel; SQL a plus
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, MS Dynamics or SAP a plus
- Exposure to manufacturing and complex inventory management processes a plus
$140,000 - $165,000 a year
