Female Founders Fund is hiring an experienced Principal to join the investing team. The Investment Principal will be a critical part of the team and will play an integral role in all aspects of Female Founders Fund’s operations. This is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a mission-driven early stage fund.
This role will be afforded a high level of autonomy and requires someone who thrives in a self-motivated, self-directed setting. Candidates should be fast-learners who are detailed and service oriented. Ideal candidates will embody strong communication skills, hustle, analytical capabilities, and high emotional intelligence.
Who we are: Female Founders Fund is an early-stage venture fund investing in technology companies founded by women. Launched in 2014, the fund has built the most recognized brand investing in leading female-led technology companies like ELOQUII, Maven Clinic, Co-Star, BentoBox, Billie and more. Responsibilities will Include:
- Manage FFF’s investment process including sourcing deals, evaluating potential investments, meeting with founders, conducting diligence reviews, and executing deals.
- Support portfolio companies by attending board meetings, advising management teams, conducting research, recruiting on behalf of portfolio companies, and assisting with fundraising and acquisition activities.
- Support the Founding Partner in managing relationships with Limited Partners and driving fundraising process.
- Leverage a robust network to drive deal flow and support portfolio companies.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of direct investing experience (venture capital, private equity).
- Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze business models and markets.
- Willingness to perform a variety of roles and to collaborate successfully on a lean team.
- Superior work ethic and self-driven with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Pre-existing network of early stage and growth stage investors.
- Strong commitment to Female Founders Fund’s mission of diversifying venture capital.
- Positive attitude with low ego.
