Why this role is important to Field Nation:
As part of the People Operations leadership team at Field Nation, the People Operations Director will play a critical strategic and operational role in shaping the employee experience across the organization. This leader will oversee large-scale people initiatives, align People Operations strategy with company-wide goals, and partner cross-functionally to ensure Field Nation is an outstanding place to work. With responsibility for leading multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced and high-growth environment, this role will directly influence Field Nation’s ability to hire, develop, and retain the best talent. This position reports to the Chief People Officer and is based in Minneapolis, MN.

What you'll get to do:

    • Shape & Drive Strategy: Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for People Operations, aligning directly with company-wide goals and scaling for future growth.

    • Lead a Global Team: Inspire and develop a high-performing People Operations team across the US and Bangladesh, spanning talent acquisition, engagement, learning, total rewards, and talent management.

    • Be a Trusted Advisor: Partner with executives and senior leaders as a strategic thought leader, using data, insights, and people trends to influence company decisions and build leadership capabilities.

    • Deliver Operational Excellence: Oversee high-impact initiatives, manage the People Operations budget, ensure compliance, and implement systems, tools, and processes that enable performance and efficiency.

    • Champion Culture & Brand: Foster a culture of trust, inclusion, and engagement; lead company-wide culture events; and partner with Marketing to enhance Field Nation’s employer brand.

    • Enable Business Success: Serve as a senior business partner to Product & Technology leaders, aligning people strategies with business needs, driving organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.

    • Navigate Change with Impact: Lead the organization through growth and transformation with clear, empathetic communication that ensures alignment, adoption, and organizational resilience.

    • Measure & Improve: Develop and monitor key people metrics (retention, engagement, workforce planning, promotions) to assess organizational health and guide data-driven improvements.

You might be a good fit if you have:

    • Extensive HR/People Operations Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR/People Ops leadership, including 3+ years managing teams and driving results in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

    • Broad People Ops Expertise: Proven background across multiple areas, including talent acquisition, talent management, learning & development, and total rewards.

    • Impactful Leadership: Skilled at building trust, developing high-performing teams, and influencing executives and cross-functional partners to achieve shared goals.

    • Change & Scale Experience: Success leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact; comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes in entrepreneurial or tech-driven organizations.

    • Global Mindset: Experience working with offshore teams and leading across cultures is strongly preferred.

    • Strong Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (advanced degree or HR certification a plus); exceptional communication, problem-solving, and consultative skills.

$155,000 - $175,000 a year

We believe it’s important to share the compensation range to best understand the full opportunity of a role! We select our initial range based on reliable compensation survey data. Other factors we consider in setting the specific pay for an individual will generally include, among other things, experience, specialized skills, work location, and internal equity to provide competitive offers. Additionally, every role is eligible for variable pay dependent on the position. As an agile and growing organization, the business needs may change. This may result in us hiring someone with less or more experience than the job description states. If that does happen, we will communicate the updated salary range and the new role to you as a candidate. The range stated below is a starting point of the compensation conversation, we’d like to hear what your compensation expectations are too! 


Base Salary Range | Minnesota or other Zone 3 | $155,000 - 175,000
