The Role:

As the Editor Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the team that manage the abstractions, rendering engine, and features that power Figma’s core design surface. You’ll work with the team to design, build and ship functionality that cut across a wide range of technology, from low-level systems and graphics programming through modern web frameworks and large-scale multiplayer infrastructure. Your team will directly impact the way in which hundreds of thousands of people design and build products across the world in companies like Microsoft, Uber, Square and more.

Responsibilities

    • Work with the CTO and VPE to set direction, priorities, and mission for the Editor Teams
    • Collaborate with your team to set goals and meet them
    • Build and mentor a diverse team of engineers
    • Architect, develop, deploy and maintain the high performance engine at the heart of Figma’s design capabilities
    • Completely understand and drive the improvement of the editor at all levels - from application features to the core frameworks and abstractions that enable them

Requirements

    • Experience scaling products and teams in high growth environments

    • B.S. or higher in scientific or quantitative field or equivalent work experience
