We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our company as General Manager for our property Salon.com, providing strategic vision for the brand and overseeing its execution. As a rapidly growing player in the online media and advertising landscape, we are looking for an individual with a proven track record in strategic leadership and full-stack Business know-how. This is a key role that reports directly to our CEO.

Responsibilities

    • P&Ls ownership – Promoting Salon’s financial growth in a predictable and sustainable way.
    • Brand Vision – Set the vision, values & business objectives of Salon, in line with the group’s own vision, values & objectives, in order to promote Salon’s reputation and awareness. This includes staying up to date with the latest industry trends and competitive landscape, redefining our targeted users, how to attract and retain them, and more.
    • Strategic Planning – Develop a cohesive business strategy and a set of KPIs & targets that align with the brand’s overall business goals. Identify new markets, marketing or advertising channels, media platforms, etc. to grow our audience and revenue, and prioritize opportunities accordingly.
    • Leadership& Operational Excellence – Build teams as needed and provide them with leadership and guidance, ensuring they are highly motivated and equipped with the resources needed to succeed and promoting operational excellence from all standpoints.
    • Cross Functional Collaboration – Regularly align with senior leadership of the group to stay up to date with our most recent updates, best practices and directions.
    • Networking & Public Representation – Establish and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, partners, and influencers. Represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and public forums in order to bring attention and opportunities to Salon.
    • Innovate and Experiment – Encourage a culture of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to gain a competitive advantage.

Requirements

    • Business Experience & Financial Acumen – Demonstrated experience in managing P&Ls, with a track record of driving financial growth and sustainability.
    • Multimedia & Advertising Experience – 10+ years of experience in online media, with deep understanding of the multimedia landscape, including current trends and competitive dynamics. Have a general understanding of the value that SEO & affiliate marketing can bring to the business.
    • Visionary – Strong ability to set and execute a strategic vision, aligning brand objectives with the overall business goals. Passion for innovation with a willingness to experiment and push the boundaries to gain a competitive edge.
    • Leadership Experience –  Forward-thinking leader who can inspire and drive the team towards achieving the brand’s long-term goals. Minimum of 6 years in a senior management role, preferably within the digital media industry.
    • Analytical Skills – Proficiency in developing business strategies, KPIs, and targets, with the ability to identify and prioritize business opportunities.
    • Networking and Public Speaking – Excellent networking skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders. Comfort in representing the brand at public events or through the media.
    • Excellent Communication & Collaboration – Top-notch verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate vision and strategy effectively. Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of best practices.
