This is a remote role and open to anyone within the United States (all work must be done in the US).

The salary range for this role is $89,280 to $133,920; however, Findhelp considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education and training, and key skills. We also provide generous benefits and a stock option package to all our employees.

The role:  

As a Staff Cloud/SRE Engineer, you will play a key role in developing robust processes and automation for the maintenance of the Google Cloud Platform services our engineering teams use. Your day-to-day activities will include increasing our adoption of a self-service infrastructure-as-code approach to our cloud projects, and ensuring the availability of services already maintained by the team as a part of a sustainable on-call rotation. 

You will work in close collaboration with the other members of your through standard Scrum practices, as well as with the larger Platform Engineering department comprised of our Agile Coaching and Devops engineering teams.

What You’ll Do:

    • Help us build self-service tools to provision secure cloud infrastructure in GCP
    • Implement monitoring and alerting that helps us meet our SLAs as well as helps our teams deliver with high quality
    • Participate in a sustainable on-call rotation
    • Participate in planning, refinement, and retros
    • Grow into an expert Cloud Infrastructure engineer

Experience You’ll Bring:

    • At least a total of 4 years of experience as a web, operations, security, infrastructure, or devops engineer, some of which should have come while at a cloud-based SaaS company, AND
    • Expertise in at least two of the following:
    • GCP, particularly GKE, AppEngine, cloud functions, pub/sub
    • cloud security, particularly IAM, firewalls, and log aggregation and monitoring
    • cloud-first infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi, Terraform, or AWS CDK
    • test-driven development (not merely writing tests, but “red, green, refactor”)
    • database administration, particularly MySQL
    • Kubernetes
