We’ve started by rethinking the rental application and screening processes from the ground up. Since launching our product, we've seen explosive demand from building operators looking to use tech to make their leasing better. Every day, our technology plays a role in deciding where people live. Housing (shelter) is essential, so we have a responsibility and mandate to get it right. As a Frontend Engineer on one of our product teams, you will work across all of our customer facing web properties building user experiences that delight. You will use your broad knowledge of software engineering practices to work alongside our Product and Design teams to deliver value to our customers.

You are an effective collaborator who is able to work with product, design and other engineers to drive strong outcomes.
Where You Will Make an Impact
- Work with Product, Design, QA and other engineers to produce high-quality code that delivers business value and follows established standards and processes
- Build for scale, availability, performance, and security for our customer facing applications
- Add new features to, and maintain our single page applications; collaborating with other engineers to integrate frontend and backend systems
- Be proactive in improving site performance metrics
- Contribute to existing and build new design systems and shared component libraries
- Contribute feedback to enhance team performance by performing code reviews and participating in pairing sessions
- Create and manage clear, robust technical documentation
- Aid in the growth and development of the team by mentoring and coaching less experienced members
- Collaborate with Product teams to help define, scope and plan projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, bootcamp or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience as a frontend engineer
- Previous working experience with most of our stack including javascript, ReactJs and Typescript
- Understanding of design patterns and component-based architecture
- Previous working experience building single page applications (SPA)
- Previous working experience building responsive websites and mobile-first development
- Previous working experience consuming REST / backend APIs
- Previous working experience with git and various git workflows
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; has experience collaborating with Product and Design team
Nice to Haves
- Experience with various design tools, we use Figma
- Experience with Web Accessibility Standards
- Experience working with design systems and UI Kits
- Experience writing unit tests and defining test cases based on acceptance criteria
- Experience working at a high growth product company focused on scale

$115,000 - $165,000 a year
