HR Generalist

We are looking for a HR Generalist to lead our team and keep our people operations running smoothly. The right candidate cares deeply about the employee experience and exercises a high degree of empathy and great communication skills in all they do. We want a people-person who's able to seamlessly build relationships, keeps up with our fast-paced environment, and deeply understands our mission, culture, and vision.

Responsibilities

    • Act as a resource for employees and managers on people-related policies, programs, procedures and practices
    • Keep current and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
    • Manage the logistics of our onboarding program and ensure a great new hire experience
    • Become an expert on our HR systems and maintain accurate data and documents in our systems
    • Assist with offboarding and other responsibilities related to terminations
    • Own data integrity in our HR systems (e.g. Gusto)
    • Continually strive to improve our processes and build in operational efficiencies to better streamline productivity and scalability
    • Support HR programs such as benefits, performance reviews, compensation, and L&D
    • Ensure the appropriate HR processes are in place to meet compliance requirements
    • Manage immigration including, but not limited to F-1, J-1, H-1B and PERM filings

Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree; business, sociology, or psychology preferred
    • 2-4 years of experience in an HR role
    • High ethics around confidentiality
    • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
    • Proficient knowledge of G Suite and other relevant applications
    • Strong analytical skills

Preferred

    • Experience with Gusto and Lever (or similar software)
    • HR experience at early-stage companies that are scaling quickly
    • PHR certification
