We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner with a deep specialization in API development and connectivity solutions. As a pivotal member of our team, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, ensuring our API products meet the needs of both our internal and external stakeholders. This role demands a strong technical background, strategic mindset, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you will be doing:

    • Product Ownership: Take ownership of the API product lifecycle from inception through implementation and maintenance.
    • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable user stories and technical specifications.
    • API Strategy Development: Develop and execute a cohesive API strategy aligned with business goals and technical capabilities.
    • Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain the API roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and technical feasibility.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of API solutions.
    • API Design and Documentation: Define API interfaces, protocols, and standards. Ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation for developers and end-users.
    • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards for APIs through testing strategies, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and dependencies related to API development and proactively mitigate them.
    • Compliance and Security: Ensure APIs adhere to industry standards, compliance requirements, and security best practices.
    • User Feedback and Iteration: Gather user feedback, analyze usage patterns, and iterate on API features to optimize performance and user experience.
    • Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams and external developers using our APIs.

What experience and skills we need you to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Proven experience (4 years) as a Technical Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on API development and connectivity solutions.
    • Strong understanding of API design principles, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and other relevant protocols.
    • Hands-on experience with API management platforms (e.g., Swagger, Postman, Apigee) and API development tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Please not that some travel will be required to HQ for team and/or company events.

$90,000 - $165,000 a year
The final salary for this position will be determined in FinQuery’s sole discretion consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant’s skills, qualifications for the role, job-related knowledge, work experience, and FinQuery’s business and other operational considerations.
