About the Job
- Design, build and maintain models and algorithms that align with feature requirements and constantly improve and refine accuracy.
- Use various data storage facilities to support data access patterns.
- Design, develop and maintain APIs to expose data to planning, ordering and reporting systems
- Provide development time estimates for the sake of sprints and be able to consistently deliver on-time, high-quality code.
- Ensure the scalability and quality of all code
- Use and promote software engineering standard methodologies across the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM
- 5+ years experience
- Strong demonstrated skills implementing and deploying high volume and highly scalable services
- Strong experience with programming and design (preferably Go and Python)
- Experience in at least one major cloud platform and their managed services (GCP, AWS or Azure, GCP preferred)
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling and Object Relational Models
- Strong experience with
- Experience in leading projects
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and describe product strategy, technical designs, and software product features
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Experience with one or more Unit testing frameworks
- Experience with XML, JSON, and/or YAML
- Understanding of RESTful services
