About the Position
As the Account Manager for FiscalNote’s Global Intelligence (FNGI) line of business, you will be tasked with executing revenue growth in the Americas for your existing client book within FNGI clients. You will be directly responsible for owning the renewal success of your accounts. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and driving increased revenue through cross-selling and upselling opportunities. You will work closely with the Head of Account Management for Americas, to implement effective client retention and revenue growth strategies. Your role requires effective collaboration with Client Success teams and Business Development Managers. To be successful in this role, you should have account management experience in security, political risk, and market intelligence.  

About the FiscalNote Global Intelligence Commercial Team
FiscalNote Global Intelligence’s Commercial team is the touchpoint for all client interactions. It is made up of Sales Development, Business Development, Account Management, and Client Success. Each of these three teams works very closely to ensure that the business reaches its overall revenue growth objectives. The Account Management team is responsible for the existing book of business in terms of renewals, upsells, cross-sells, and cost-price increases.

About You
You are an enthusiastic account management professional, with a demonstrated track record of delivering results across the private and public sector on a global basis. You thrive in building relationships with clients, and are motivated by commercial results. You understand SaaS and information services, and you are able to quickly commercialize and sell new products.  You are a team player who wants to do your best to help the organization succeed, and your peers, teams and managers all enjoy working with you.

What To Expect In This Position

    • Manage allocated book of business and execute on subscription and advisory revenue quota 
    • Execute comprehensive account strategies for each account under your portfolio of accounts to maximize both gross retention and net retention, in line with the overall growth objective
    • Cultivate long-term relationships with our key clients, understanding their business objectives, pain points, and challenges to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
    • Implement best practices, processes, and tools to enhance the client experience
    • Develop strategies for gross-retention and net retention. 
    • Collaborate with BDM reps and client success to strategize and identify new revenue opportunities within existing accounts, including upselling and cross-selling of additional products and services.
    • Develop strategies with FNGI advisory consultants to  expand advisory consultancy sales within your book
    • Work closely with Client Success to develop and implement strategies to improve client retention rates
    • Maintain accurate records in FNGI’s CRM
    • Travel as required to client sites or industry events/conferences
    • Other duties and tasks, as assigned.

What Sets You Apart

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Geopolitics, Economics, or related field
    • 2–5 years of account management experience within the geopolitical & market intelligence/information services industry
    • Proven track record of successfully managing key client accounts and driving revenue growth
    • Strong expertise regarding the geopolitical, market intelligence, and security fields
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of the industry and market trends.
    • High-performance record of renewals and retention
    • A high capacity for work and ability to manage multiple competing demands
    • Determined and robust attitude with a strong commitment to succeed
    • Fluency in the English language is essential. 
    • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
