We are seeking a talented and creative iOS Engineer to join our team to design, innovate, and support one of FiscalNote’s range of applications and technology stacks. We are hiring engineers at all levels in our Washington, DC, and Baton Rouge, LA offices.

About the Role
Our customers are always on the move, and access to the most timely and relevant data and analysis can mean the difference between success and failure. We are looking for an iOS engineer who can provide them that quick and simple ability to reference any information they need on our platforms, regardless of location, network connectivity, or access to computers. Our products already stand above and beyond any other solution, and our FiscalNote mobile apps are our major differentiator as the world goes mobile. 

You will collaborate closely with a dedicated, cross-functional team - engineers, interaction and product designers, product managers, quality assurance, and scrum masters - working on FiscalNote’s iOS platform. Utilizing Agile methodologies and incorporating data and user research, you and your team will design, build, maintain, and deliver high quality products, features, and services to serve your end-users. Regardless of level, you will be called upon to present your work, communicate with technical and non-technical teammates and executives, and guide and mentor members of your team. You will report to the Mobile Team Engineering Manager.
You Have Experience With:
- Building, maintaining, and delivering native applications using the iOS SDK preferably in Swift, or Obj-C
- Prototyping for iOS User Interfaces, Interactions, and Experiences 
- Creating Unit-tests and UI-tests for integration into an automated workflow, preferably Fastlane
- Profiling and optimizing for efficiency and speed to ensure a seamless experience 
- Working through cross-cutting concerns with our Android, Webapp, and backend teams for a consistent experience
- Utilizing remote APIs to map and utilize structured and unstructured data
- Collaborating with and mentoring other engineers during project development, peer review, and brownbag discussions
- Researching and implementing new technologies and best-practices 
- You have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering
