About the Position
FiscalNote is currently hiring for the position of Manager or Senior Manager of Client Engagement. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and VP of Operations, you will directly manage a team of skilled analysts and be responsible for the delivery of FiscalNote services. This role requires strong project management skills, exceptional communication and client engagement skills, and supporting growth of the team’s offerings. This player/coach role involves engagement in the day-to-day delivery of service offerings, constant engagement with Business Development, and liaison with Engineering and Product. As a manager on this team you will help implement various processes and best practices to enable the team and the company to scale. You will lead strategic initiatives that have a wide impact on the direction of the Professional Services Team.
About the Professional Services Team
Our Professional Services team is responsible for identifying, creating, and supporting offerings that achieve the following: creates an ongoing, sustainable revenue stream; supports new and existing clients in their engagement with FN; defines leading edge product concepts designed to be operationalized as platform offerings; and hires/retains talent as a critical component of overall FN success

Understanding the needs of clients, our team works with Business Development and Account Management to create tailored projects that complement our cutting-edge product suite. About You
-6+ years of relevant professional experience in government and/or technology and project management
-1-2 years of experience as a people manager
-High performance in people and relationship management
-Strong written and verbal communication abilities, as well as exceptional organization skills and strong project management skills
-Experience working in government or policy
-Experience working in a client facing capacity within a SaaS organization
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - 125,000 per year.

What To Expect In This Position
- Directly manage a team ranging from 5-10, providing ongoing coaching and career development
- Partner closely with Account Management, Client Success, and go-to-market leaders to ensure customer expectations are met and to identify opportunities to expand and improve services.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with business development, marketing, and product to align offerings, drive adoption, and incorporate market feedback.
- Oversee and optimize team staffing structure — capacity planning, knowledge management, staffing gap identification, and tooling integration — to maximize efficiency and coverage.
- Partner with go-to-market leaders to identify opportunities to improve and expand offerings
- Manage or participate on a select number of strategic client engagements
- Plans and implements initiatives to ensure optimal workflow of the US team, including working closely with Technical Services on tools and processes.
- Work closely with leadership on financial and workforce planning for the Global team, including: tracking, reporting, and making recommendations to improve team performance metrics (utilization, quality, efficiency)
- Lead targeted efforts to improve productivity and service outcomes.
- Manage a select number of strategic client engagements
What Sets You Apart
- 6+ years of professional services/consulting experience, with experience in a formal people manager role
- Proven track record of leading delivery teams at a SaaS company
- Experience managing services P&L, utilization targets, and operating a services organization at scale
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to synthesize customer needs into scalable service offerings and processes
