What we are looking for:

As the VFX Coordinator you will be joining an innovative generative AI startup changing the future of filmmaking. The VFX Coordinator will report to the VFX Producer (LA), working closely with the Post Production, Pipeline, IO and Film Innovation teams. The VFX Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of projects including feature films, episodic series, and commercial content. The VFX Coordinator must be adept at maintaining  projects in Flow Production Tracking Software, time management, and multi-tasking. This Coordinator must be able to work effectively and efficiently with our cross-functional teams in both the US and UK locations. 

Responsibilities

    • Create Flow (formerly Shotgrid) playlists in multiple projects for daily review sessions.
    • Daily review of Flow projects to ensure statuses, assignments, notes, and timelines are up to date.
    • Reconcile flow with internal tracking spreadsheets.
    • Work closely with the Producer/VFX Supervisors/IO teams to schedule tasks and facilitate delivery of final materials.
    • Coordinate and run review sessions with vendors and creative teams.
    • Maintain daily email correspondence with vendors.
    • Oversee sending and receiving of vendor packages in conjunction with the Data IO team.
    • Manage and distribute vendor contact lists for all associated projects.
    • Liase between vendors and internal teams and disseminate information in a timely manner.
    • Organize internal and external meetings (including those in multiple time zones).
    • Coordinate meetings, including those in multiple time zones.
    • Take and distribute detailed notes and follow up on information as necessary
    • Create and track technical support tickets with the IO and Pipeline teams.
    • Track invoices and payment status with the accounting department.

Qualifications

    • A desire to work in a dynamic, technology driven production environment is a mustIn-depth understanding of live-action VFX workflow, processes/pipelines.
    • Strong knowledge of Flow, RV, MediaShuttle, Excel, Google Suite, Zoom, Jira.
    • Previous experience in film production, visual effects, editorial or IO.
    • Basic Davinci Resolve editorial knowledge is a plus.
    • Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
    • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented.
    • Ability to work within a team atmosphere.
    • Anticipate and communicate issues to resolve problems promptly.
    • Take responsibility for knowing details of schedule and advising accordingly.
    • Provide superlative support under deadline driven timelines.
    • Familiarity of common file formats and resolutionsMultiple spoken language skills is a plus.
$35 - $45 an hour

Our interview process for this role is three rounds: 
- 30-45 minute call with our recruiting team (We want to discuss your interests and motivations as well as the practical details and make sure that Flawless would be a good fit for you).
- 30 minute introduction call to discuss Flawless and your past work.
- 1 hour virtual or onsite Interview where you will meet variety of your potential future colleagues (We will have specific sessions that focus on how you collaborate with others, your leadership skills and a presentation diving deep into a past piece of work/project).

Your Recruiter and hiring manager will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews. You’ll meet 4 to 6 people from across the business. (We make sure that you have time in each interview to ask them questions).
