What we are looking for:
As an Applied Scientist on the 3D Reconstruction and Animation team at Flawless, you will work with a close-knit, passionate group of world-class researchers and scientists to tackle some of the most challenging problems in deep learning, including 3D reconstruction, monocular tracking and animation. Our work in visual dubbing is just the tip of the iceberg, we’re developing countless exciting products based on our cornerstone research. Our Applied Science team is focused on productionalizing state of the art research, delivering scalable, responsible, cinematic quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Researchers, Machine Learning Engineers and Product and Engineering teams
- Conduct ML model training, benchmarking, testing and deployment of multi modal tracking, reconstruction and animation models.
- Create productionalized Python code, using Pytorch frameworks.
- Work with 3DMMs and statistical models for training and inference
- Work with 2D and 3D image and video for tracking and reconstruction.
Qualifications
- On going MS or Ph.D student in Visual Computing, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, 3D Vision, or related field industry or research experience with deep learning and computer vision
- Extensive experience with PythonFamiliar with linear algebra, and numerical optimization
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Monocular 3D Facial Tracking
- Generative models for face reconstruction
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning and modern 2D and 3D Vision.
- Proficiency in applied research tasks: Maintaining and versioning production code and datasets.
- Creating metrics and benchmarking
- Improving the efficiency of the solution
- Ability to conduct proactive and independent applied research beyond expectations
- Experience with CV tools e.g. OpenCV, scikit, numpy, etc
- Experience with differentiable rendering pipelines, such as PyTorch3D, or Taichi Graphics.
- Familiar with 3DMM and statistical models
- Experience with developing machine and deep learning approaches as well as modern 2D and 3D Vision tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS (with experience) or Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, 3D Vision, or related field
- Experience developing tools or solutions at scale for multi-modal or audio-driven visual systems in AR/VR or VFX
- Experience with C++ or CUDA
- Familiarity with Transformer, CNN, and GAN architectures
- Published work in top-tier CV and Graphics conferences e.g. ICCV, CVPR, SIGGRAPH
Interview Process:
At Flawless, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We’ll dive into past projects and simulate working together.
Our interview process is five rounds over Zoom:
- 30-45 minute call with our recruiting team (We want to discuss your interests and motivations as well as the practical details and make sure that Flawless would be a good fit for you)
- 45 minute technical screen to discuss Flawless and your past work.
- 1 hour live coding test where you will be presented 1-2 problems related to landmarked base face 3DMM regression, using Python/Pytorch.
- 45 minute ML System design interview
- 45 minute virtual interview discussing domain depth in AI/ML and deep learning architecture and techniques.
Your Recruiter and hiring manager will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews. You’ll meet 4 to 5 people from across the business. (We make sure that you have time in each interview to ask them questions). If we don’t give an offer, we’ll provide feedback!
