JOB DESCRIPTION
In this team, you will develop electrical distribution and harnesses for autonomous, electric, and hybrid vessels. You will integrate with firmware and hardware teams to connect and protect critical electrical components from ESS through power conversion and distribution systems.
This is a hands-on role developing critical components for safety-critical applications in harsh environments. You will be expected to be comfortable taking independent initiative and working as a team with other highly motivated engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design high-voltage cable assemblies and wire harnesses for electrification systems
- Develop testing protocols for electrical safety, vibration, and environmental durability
- Develop and contribute to circuit protection systems
- Design testing circuits and apparatus for various electrical components, including energy storage modules, balancing systems, power conversion systems, and circuit protection systems.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years automotive/aerospace harness experience with HV systems (1000V)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks electrical/Altium Harness/ePlan and understanding of IPC standards
- Hands-on prototyping mindset with emphasis on rapid design-build-test cycles
$120,000 - $145,000 a year
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in most full time offers and are considered part of Fleetzero's total compensation package.
