FLEX College Prep is a privately owned educational services organization, offering college admissions consulting, test prep and tutoring to middle and high school students. We’re looking for a Director of Finance and Administration to join our growing Company. This role will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's administrative and financial services.

What we’re looking for:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
    • 6+ years experience in the financial function of a company required.
    • 4+ years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong understanding of HR policy, federal and state employment law, payroll, and benefits.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Strong knowledge of financial and legal best practices and requirements with a demonstrated experience providing sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact.

What you’ll do:

    • Develop, implement, maintain, and control financial and administrative processes and procedures.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership and department heads to define and implement key performance indicators and strategic objectives and facilitate measurement of those objectives, reporting results back to the executive team.
    • Develop talent acquisition and staffing strategies and plans, and oversee talent acquisition team to carry out those plans.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including but not limited to tax laws, generally accepted accounting .principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS)
    • Research and implement new systems and updates to existing systems to promote efficiency and productivity.
    • Oversee payroll and benefits administration; design and implement variable compensation plans; make recommendations to offer competitive employee compensation and benefits.
    • Guide financial decisions, protect assets, prepare budgets and make recommendations that support the company to achieve financial goals.
    • Monitor and report on the company’s financial condition by conducting audits, generating reports, and presenting findings to management.
    • Oversee the company’s Human Resources department; advising and guiding the department in areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, payroll and benefits and more.
