As a General Affairs Specialist(Malaysia) at Flipster
You will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining the operational foundation of our new entity in Malaysia. This position is central to ensuring our office operates seamlessly, aligning with local regulations and supporting our team with administrative and organizational needs. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Singapore, Korea, and Malaysia to ensure smooth alignment with global operations while adapting to Malaysian needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Malaysia office
- Handle day-to-day office administration such as mail handling, courier services, equipment tracking, and supplies management.
- Oversee the procurement activities for office supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-efficiency and timely delivery
- Manage documentation, meetings, travel arrangements, and employee visa processes.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian laws and oversee visa processing procedures.
- Facilitate employee onboarding, maintain records, and support payroll processes.
- Manage office maintenance, safety, and security measures.
- Prepare and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Provide administrative support to senior management and handle special projects.
- Organize team events, celebrations, and activities that contribute to a positive office culture
- Liaise with the finance team on expense submissions, petty cash, invoice processing, and budgeting for office-related needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in general affairs, office management, or a similar role.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with administrative tools.
- Fluency in English & Malay
Preferred
- Knowledge of Malaysia's labor laws, visa processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Prior work experience with Fintech or Crypto exchange is highly valuable
- Fluency in Chinese
