Title: Director, IT

Company Background
Florence Health is a next-generation Primary Care Provider growing rapidly in towns and cities around the country. Named after the legendary nurse Florence Nightingale, Florence was founded in 2019 with a simple mission: to serve the patient, above all else. Florence is currently available to Medicare patients exclusively, and operates fully at risk for all of our patients' outcomes and spending, enabling our clinics to invest in the delivery of added benefits, services, and staffing that are not possible in a fee-for-service environment.

Florence's relentless focus on patient satisfaction and care results, through our platform of medical professionals, staff, technology, and premium modern clinic spaces designed from the ground up, has earned us a reputation with our patients of going above and beyond on every facet of service delivery - from the front desk to the exam and follow-up experience, and everything in between.

The Role - Director, IT
As the team has grown, we are excited to create our first dedicated role to own IT Operations success across the enterprise. This role will entail the following critical responsibilities:

- Manage all employee hardware and software procurement and setup

- Manage all installations, upgrades, and configurations of hardware and software

- Be responsible for ongoing device and password management

- Provide support, guidance, and troubleshooting to team members through internal messaging across locations

- Manage network strategy and vendors across locations

- Monitor budget and cost opportunities regarding all IT systems, while optimizing for quality and reliability

- Select and remotely manage/oversee local third-party IT contractors to execute on-the-ground IT setup/troubleshooting work as needed (most commonly in our clinics, as well as occasionally in non-clinic office locations)

- Work directly with vendors to implement medical equipment integration

- Tech navigation and setup for all clinics

- When applicable, identify and select new products/services that can substantially improve IT and infrastructure management

- Availability of a quiet home office space, preferably with a door to keep out ambient noise

- Some travel required as needed

Key criteria for success:
- A love for IT that "works" -- and a passion for helping people meet their IT needs (with regards to necessary hardware and software applications) so they can get where they need to go.

- A "team" mindset: success at Florence is basketball/football, not tennis/golf, and we proactively take "ego" out of the daily work to achieve the best results for each other and the patient.

- Bias towards logic and problem-solving, and scalable solutions over hand-to-hand combat when possible

- Organized and supportive thinking and communications with teammates, and staying cool in the "heat of the moment," even during an IT fail

- Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis

- Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing

- Knowledge of IT/data protection operations and safeguards (and HIPAA compliance preferred)

- Leadership and organizational skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects and keep to a specific timeline

- General problem-solving enjoyment and aptitude

- BS/BA in Computer Science, IT, or relevant field preferred
